An indie music mainstay since 2003, Scott Darlow is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, digeridoo player, trumpet player, trombone player, saxophonist, clarinetist, pianist… okay, take a breath… and passionate Indigenous educator and activist. Scott’s fifth release ‘Deadly Heart,’ takes on a wide swathe of subject matter, from white Australia’s violence and erasure towards its first nations peoples, the harms of religious fundamentalism, damaged relationships, and finding hope. ‘Deadly Heart’ is an album as prolific and dexterous as the man himself.
