About the artist

Crystal Robins

Crystal Robins is a songwriter living on Larrakia country (Darwin NT) in the tropical north of Australia. With stunning vocals and intricate guitar playing, Crystal’s songs weave dreamy alt-country tones with a folk twist, layering lush harmonies to accompany her heartfelt lyrics.

Crystal released her debut single ‘Wildfire’ in 2021, which hit No 6 on the National AMRAP Top Ten Charts and was shortlisted in the Australian Songwriting Awards ‘21.

In 2024 Crystal graduated The CMAA Senior Academy of Country Music, after winning the 'Road To Tamworth' scholarship. It was here that she co-wrote the song ‘When I Grow Up’ with renowned Americana songwriter Melody Moko, which appears on Crystal’s recently released album featuring Moko’s soulful backing vocals.

Crystal independently released her anticipated debut full-length album ‘Moonflower’ early in 2025, which has received airplay and features on local and national radio, including a spotlight feature on ABC Country’s flagship program Saturday Night Country, hosted by multi award-winning country legend Beccy Cole.

She has performed at festivals around Australia and opened for a long list of touring artists in Darwin including Josh Pyke, Brad Cox, Emily Lubitz, Kingswood, Dan Sultan, Wendy Matthews and more.

And it doesn’t stop there. Crystal is also passionate about her work as a music therapist in mental health, disability and youth detention settings, with the belief that “music is a powerful art form with the ability to heal through songwriting & storytelling, & importantly to connect with others".
