About the artist

Haters

Haters, an indie punk/garage band, formed when Jai Sparks (vocals/guitar) and cousin James Priest (drums) combined their musical appreciation. Kaitlyn Hold (bass/vocals) joined after Jai's injury, cementing the trio's lineup and deep friendship. Drawing from Fontaines D.C., The Beths, IDLES, and The Clash, Haters crafted a unique blend of indie, punk, and garage rock, addressing topics like addiction, mental health, and companionship in their honest songs.

Their debut album 'non-violent,' produced by Cancer Bats' Scott Middleton, features the impactful single "QMJ," premiered on BBC Radio One and major platforms worldwide. A triumphant 23-date Canadian tour included performances at NXNE and Sled Island Festival, followed by appearances at BIGSOUND in Australia and a domestic tour. Haters' 2024 tour across Canada, the USA, and the UK promises more musical milestones. Their story exemplifies the power of genuine camaraderie and authentic self-expression.
