Jordie Lane releases his lead radio single, ‘New Sun’ on August 21, via his Independent label, Blood Thinner Records.
Lane’s early influences of Tom Petty’s Damn The Torpedoes and the Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers have a way of working themselves into the sub conscious of ‘New Sun’, while the lyric brings an almost 60’s peace and love story of hope, to the this Country-Rock and Roots song.
Featuring Trevor Bahnson (Elizabeth Cook) on Guitars, and Jason Burger (Big Thief, Andrew Bird) on drums, the live band also features, Asa Brosius on Pedal Steel (known for his work with producer Joe Henry), and Bass player Elias Broxham of Nashville’s Dallas Ugly.

Following his #1 ARIA Country and US Americana Top 40 album Tropical Depression, Lane’s new 2026 album ‘Habitual’ (slated for release October 9th) signals a shift toward raw, physical performance. Recorded live and all analog to 2inch 16 Track tape’ the result is an unfiltered country-rock and blues sound—with just enough tape hiss and grit, but it’s the spontaneous momentum of Lane’s creative essence that give the record its charm.
Jordie’s back to showcase the new 2026 album across the country in October, November and December with Australian dates now on sale and US tour still to be announced.
