Grayscale's "The Hart," marks their most extended hiatus and the most time spent writing a record. During this period, the band faced significant personal challenges, including addiction, loss, and a crisis of faith, which ultimately deepened their bond as friends and collaborators. Rather than focusing on nostalgia, the album explores themes of growth, healing, and the complexities of life, reflecting their desire to create genuine, vulnerable art. Inspired by their roots, the album's title pays homage to a strong matriarchal figure in their lives, symbolizing the authenticity and emotional depth behind the music, which was crafted through shared experiences of pain and love.

American Rock band Grayscale originated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has been actively touring and recording music since 2016. Forming an instant bond as both friends and musicians, they embarked on a musical journey that has defined their lives together. From touring the world and sharing stages with renowned artists, to releasing albums that encapsulate different chapters of their personal lives, the band continuously seeks growth, both musically and personally. Their sound, influenced by diverse musical backgrounds, reflects a commitment to authenticity and believability.
