This is a limited edition Australia-only LP reissue of "The Last Time I Did Acid I Went Insane," originally released on Rough Trade Records in 2001. Contains many of Jeffrey's most well-loved early home-recordings, including two bedroom recorded garage-folk tracks written/sung by younger brother/bassist Jack Lewis (who was only 17 at the time!).
About the artist
Jeffrey Lewis
Indie-rock/folk songwriter and comix artist Jeffrey Lewis began recording homemade cassettes in his native New York City in 1998; his critically acclaimed, unusual and word-dense songs lead to Jeffrey signing to Rough Trade Records in 2001 (record label of The Smiths, The Strokes, etc.). Having since released many albums and comic books (including new material coming soon in 2025!), Jeffrey still lives in NYC and has played countless gigs all over the world, both solo and with bandmates. Australia tour dates in Feb-March 2025!
